Dr. Amitesh Aggarwal is a distinguished physician, academician, and researcher in Internal Medicine with over two decades of experience in clinical care, teaching, and medical leadership. He currently serves as Director Professor and Unit Head, Department of Medicine, at University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Delhi. An alumnus of RNT Medical College, Udaipur, he completed his MD in Medicine from the University of Delhi in 2004, where he was awarded the Gold Medal for Best Outgoing Postgraduate . Dr. Aggarwal has made significant contributions to cardiovascular medicine, diabetes, hypertension, atherosclerosis, and geriatric medicine. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has been actively involved in national and international guideline development, including consensus statements on hypertension and diabetes care.
