Co-founder and Chair of the Strategic Committee, Voices in Action (VIA) Diabetes
Lucía is a lawyer specialising in patients’ rights and has lived with type 1 diabetes for over 33 years. She brings together legal expertise and lived experience to support more equitable, people-centred health systems, and is the co-founder of Voices in Action: PWD in Global Health.
She works across EU-funded projects on health technology assessment, medical device feasibility and innovative health financing, and serves as a Commissioner on The Lancet Commission on People-Centred Care for Universal Health Coverage. Lucía also acts as Lived Experience Lead for PSAD and as a global adviser to OVOV, in collaboration with the NCD Alliance, advocating for the integration of psychosocial care and meaningful lived-experience engagement across global health initiatives.

Cardiometabolic medical lead based in Singapore
Dr Roshini Rai is a physician-trained cardiometabolic medical affairs lead based in Singapore, working in obesity, diabetes, and multi-organ metabolic disease. Her work focuses on translating evolving scientific evidence into implementation strategy, stakeholder alignment, and education that drive meaningful patient outcomes in Singapore.
Prior to transitioning into industry, she practised as a physician within the National Health Service in the United Kingdom, rotating across multiple specialties including endocrinology, where her interest in metabolic disease began.
She is passionate about advancing integrated cardiometabolic care through multidisciplinary collaboration and real-world insight generation. Through WinMet, she hopes to contribute practical insights from Singapore while helping shape inclusive, patient-centred metabolic health strategies for women worldwide.
